About Mindful Counseling
The mission of Mindful Counseling is to contribute to a healthy, resilient community by providing meaningful, effective, and accessible therapy.
Simply put: we’re here to help. Therapy doesn’t need to be a daunting, mysterious process. It should be simple, but effective. This is what we strive for, from the very first call or email.
We believe meaningful therapy is about meaningful change. It’s not uncommon for clients to share that previous experiences with therapy didn’t seem to “accomplish” very much. They might say something like “All I ever did was vent. It was nice to have someone listen, but I didn’t feel like we actually did anything.” This is always disappointing to hear. While there is certainly value in talking about the problem, it’s just as valuable to take real action.
Our hope is that after each session, clients not only feel like they’ve been heard, but feel ready to take action steps towards meaningful change.
